Bali&Lombok

Few people can say that they have traveled the world with their best friends but this past June I was able to fulfill that dream. My college roommates, otherwise known collectively as "Strathmore", accompanied me to Indonesia, as I begin my new life here. We traveled all around the island of Bali, exploring waterfalls, coffee plantations, rice fields, temples, and early morning sunrise hikes (2 a.m. to be exact).

After "Strathmore" left Bali, with laughs, tears, and a plethora of new memories,  I traveled to Lombok and the Gili Islands with another fellow traveler. I arrived with absolutely no expectations and it turned out to be some of my favorite moments. We stayed in colorful home stays, road local boats, made a few failed attempts at driving motors, biked around Gili, and had the most delicious local meals while watching the sunset over Mount Agung. We ended our trip with much adrenaline and beauty as we jumping 20 feet from a waterfall in North Bali and saw the most beautiful sunset over Lovina Beach.

My past month in Asia has been an absolute dream and I'm so grateful and excited to continue my journey here.

“There is something beautiful about a blank canvas, the nothingness of the beginning that is so simple and breathtakingly pure. It’s the paint that changes its meaning and the hand that creates the story. Every piece begins the same, but in the end they are all uniquely different.”
